NM · Nutritional & Metabolic
S · Somatic foundation (with PO)
What sustains the system over time — the throughput and resources that keep it functioning rather than merely standing. It is frozen and canonical — the code, name, and role never change. What changes is only what NM means when the standard is read in each domain.

Its place in the Master Equation
Where NM sits — and why it's multiplied, never averaged.
CH = (S × Sp)C × (T + E)p × (ER × RS)C/K
NM is the second half of the somatic substrate S = (PO + NM) / 2. Paired with PO, it grounds the whole measure — you cannot run on a sound base with nothing sustaining it.
The composite is multiplicative — you can't average your way past a weak axis — and the consistency exponent C (the mean of all eight) rewards steadiness across the board. See the full formula & run it →
What it measures
NM — read across the ten domains.
The axis is the same everywhere; only the gloss — what NM means in that world — changes. None of this relabels the axis. Medicine is the live, shipped anchor; the others are the same standard extended.
| Domain | What NM means there |
|---|---|
| Medicine live | Resource & supply integrity — supply chain, formulary, and the inputs that sustain care. |
| Finance | Capital & liquidity intake — the funding, reserves, and liquidity that feed the institution. |
| Government | Appropriations & resource intake — funding, staffing, and the resources that sustain the mission. |
| Corporate | Revenue & resource intake — the revenue, funding, and resources that sustain the enterprise. |
| Law | Matter & resource intake — engagements, staffing, and the resources that sustain the practice. |
| Insurance | Premium & reserve intake — premium flow, reserves, and the capital that backs the book. |
| Education | Enrollment & funding intake — tuition, aid, and the resources that sustain the institution. |
| Pharma / Life Sciences | Materials & resource intake — APIs, reagents, and the validated supply that feeds production and research. |
| Energy / Utilities | Fuel, capital & resource intake — fuel, capital, and the resources that sustain reliable supply. |
| Aerospace / Defense | Program & supply intake — contracts, funding, and the qualified supply chain that feeds programs. |
One vocabulary. Every domain. One verifier.
The eight axes are the universal language of the standard. Run any profile through the same public engine, or read the standard in your domain.
