Chain · Public Ledger
The audit-grade ledger underneath everything.
The audit-grade ledger underneath every Conceptual Health® property. Public, verifiable, append-only. Built from scratch as a healthcare-native chain — not a fork.
Purpose
A single source of clinical and economic truth.
Conceptual Chain is the append-only ledger that records every audit-relevant event across the eleven Conceptual Health® properties: axis-lift settlements, HCR mints, HCC trades, encounter signatures, vault grants, custody attestations, IP-disclosure anchors, governance amendments. If a fact matters across properties, it lives on chain.
Architecture
Permissioned for writes. Public for reads.
The chain is permissioned — only Conceptual Healthcare Corporation services and credentialed network participants can write — but the read side is fully public. Anyone can verify that a given clinical event occurred, when, and what it minted. Anyone can verify the supply of HCR or HCC at any block height. The full block history, all transactions, and every IP attestation are reachable through the explorer and at /api/v1/chain/*.
Consensus
Proof-of-Authority today, BFT on the roadmap.
The chain is currently running Proof-of-Authority consensus (CH-PoA), with a single internal validator operated by Conceptual Healthcare Corporation. Phase 2 introduces a Byzantine-fault-tolerant validator set drawn from licensed healthcare institutions, regulated custodians, and at least one sovereign health authority, geographically distributed across multiple jurisdictions. The protocol is designed for the BFT case from day one; the founding-state PoA is the bootstrap, not the destination. See validators and governance for the live set and the roadmap.
Why not Ethereum
A deliberate engineering choice.
A clinical ledger needs deterministic latency, regulator-acceptable governance, and the ability to invalidate fraudulent events without hard-forking. Public blockchains satisfy none of these. Conceptual Chain was written from scratch — not a fork of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Hyperledger, or any other chain. Every line of code, every consensus rule, every wire-format byte is original CH work. Performance, auditability, and HIPAA-grade field-level encryption at the protocol layer are all first-class.
